Vernissage: More Than Books

Come and meet us at our 'More Than Books' exhibition.

This exhibition is the culmination of a wonderful five-month collaboration between Urban Sketchers Prague and the Municipal Library of Prague. Our members visited nine branches, sketching the quiet moments, the lively interactions, and the beautiful architecture that gives each location its distinct vibe.

17:00   in Ústřední knihovna

The vernissage starts at 17:00 in Ústřední knihovna's 'PressReader'. 

We will introduce the project, and some of our members may share their experiences. :)

Rose Dela Cruz will play a couple of songs for us.

The exhibition consists of two parts. One part is in the entrance hall and the other is in an area called 'PressReader'. This is also where the vernissage will take place.

As well as our framed sketches, there will also be a few that didn't fit the frames. You will also have the opportunity to see a large sketch by Paul Riley.

You can view our drawings (all originals) and ask the artists questions. There will also be a couple of sketchbooks for you to look through.

How to get to 'PressReader':

Enter the Ústřední Knihovna building, pass by the 'Idiom' installation and continue to the library itself. One part of the exhibition is in this hall. 

Turn right, then left, and go all the way to the back. You will find a space containing magazines and newspapers. This is 'PressReader', the second part of the exhibition and the vernissage,
