Vltava II.: Branická louka - Barrandovský most

Hosted by Lenka Kýrová

2026-09-13 11:00 from 2026-09-13 11:00 2026-09-13 11:00

Let’s continue our Vltava sketch‑walk series with three stops along the river, each with 30 minutes of sketching.

Stop 1 – Branická louka

A wide riverside meadow with views toward Barrandovská skála, one of the most recognizable cliffs along the Vltava. The area is popular for resting, picnicking and sports, and the cycling path running through it keeps the place lively.

Stop 2 – Branické ledárny

The former iceworks complex, built in the late 19th century to produce and store ice for Prague’s breweries and restaurants. The brick industrial buildings are one of the last reminders of this once‑important trade along the river.

Stop 3 – View of Barrandovský most

A spot with a direct view of Barrandovský most, Prague’s busiest bridge, opened in 1983. It plays a major role in connecting the southern parts of the city and is a key part of the city’s road network.

We’ll walk together from stop to stop and sketch for 30 minutes at each location. A simple riverside route with a mix of nature, industrial history and one of Prague’s major transport landmarks.

Feel free to join us anywhere along the route — here’s the map if you want to hop in on the way:
