Urban Sketching: Břevnovský klášter

Come sketch with us at Břevnovský klášter. Břevnov Monastery is the oldest Benedictine monastery in Bohemia, founded in the 10th century, and its current baroque form comes from later rebuilding. We’ll stay outside the monastery, where the grounds offer a mix of historic architecture, open lawns, old trees and quiet corners. The exterior of the Benedictine complex has a lot to draw — the baroque façades, the entrance courtyard, the garden edges and the gentle slope of the surrounding landscape.

At the end of the event, we’ll have a small ART SUPPLIES SWAP. Everyone can bring materials they no longer use and exchange them for something else — a relaxed way to pass on tools, discover new ones and give unused supplies a second life.

For New Members

Our events are open to everyone who enjoys drawing and urban sketching. There are no fees, just bring your own sketchbook and media you like. There is no formal tuition given but you can certainly get inspired by others. All levels are welcome!

If you have urban sketching questions or suggestions, please bring them up with the group admins.
